Egypt isn't what it appears to be in the media...but that's no real surprise, since not much is. I moved here in the late 80's from Toronto, Canada, with my Canadian/Egyptian husband, my son and my daughter. The children adapted quickly and we decided that this country was a good place to live. Now I wouldn't change my home for anything.

Let's have the Arabs cheer on the Israeli team in the UEFA cup
BBC NEWS | Middle East | Sakhnin's success brings cheers and jeers
Yeah, that's a switch but I love the irony. Apparently an Arab team has won the right to represent Israel in the European Soccer competition this Thursday. So I'm contacting all my local friends who would love to see the Israeli Arabs representing Israel. As it is half the French team are Arabs. I do enjoy irony.

Yeah this is interesting to read that articles from BBC. We from Singapore strongly believes that mulit racial society should co-exist together...like the old chinese saying...they are all in the same boat. and to add: race is only make different by the pigmentation...and nothing else; similar to changes in hair pigments. Hi,
I live in Israel, but i was born in the UK.
It has always been my dream to visit Egypt. I love all it's history, yet although it's so near because of what Israel does to the Palestinians it is so far. I know that we are not welcome in your country, and that hurts, but it is only we who are to blame. I'm 60 and I can only hope that the atmosphere will change one day before I'm to old, sothat i can see the Pyramids, and all the other wonders.
All the best!
