Egypt is such a beautiful country it's just a shame people don't recognise that.
Well done,

My Biggest and Best Wishes
Meghan :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203628.post-1153679725496017192006-07-23T21:35:00.000+03:002006-07-23T21:35:00.000+03:00The CAC Christmas bazaar...I loved that! I still carry those bags. I was in my gym in West Seattle last year, and a young woman stopped me and said, "Where did you get that bag?"
I said, "I used to live in Cairo, and bought it there...actually at the CAC Christmas bazaar." While she hadn't heard of CAC, she did volunteer to teach ESL in that recycling centre in for 6 months, and was truly touched to see that workmanship make it's way all the way to Seattle, Washington. I had 24 "christmases" in Egypt but I still find your view refreshingly different.

David, you must be really old by now if you'd lived in Maadi 1885 :)Christianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05907766331051353218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203628.post-1135604434398594512005-12-26T15:40:00.000+02:002005-12-26T15:40:00.000+02:00Maryanne,I wanted to say thank you very much for y...Maryanne,

I wanted to say thank you very much for your lovely blog. I am a Canadian who lived in Ma'adi when I was much younger (1983-1885). I have very fond memories of the place, its beauty, its history and the wonderful people I met.

Your blog shows me how some things have changed, how some have stayed the same and sometimes I see glimpses of places I recognize in your pictures.

Thanks again,

David Fraser
The Canadian Privacy Law Blogprivacylawyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03943567746055311435noreply@blogger.com
