The really wild baladi dogs are mostly scavengers but also eat small mammals (rats, cats, etc) and whatever poultry they can catch. They do adopt to a farm family if given half a chance. I have two farm-bred baladi's and one desert bred.

As Baladi dogs appear to be feral dogs that really don't need humans and have been living wild for so long they seem to breed to type, I'm interested in their diet. Do they eat small mammals in their entirety or do they eat larger prey and pick at the choice bits?

Drunk driving isn't that much of a problem here. Driving is so insane that no one wants to try to do it drunk, but it was really nice to be able to sit under the stars, sip a beer and munch on calamari.

to the person who asked 'why do westerners hate muslims'....in short, since the 9/11 bombings etc the media have had a field day day. instead of stating 3 men were arrested they will state 3 muslim men, but it if they were christian men they would not say 3 christian men in their article it would just read 3 men. people are ignorant, they jump to conclusions and stick to that frame of mind. people will not go out and educate themselves on what the muslim religion is about they are are quite happy to retain the information via the media....and believe it!

i met an egyptian man 5 weeks a go. he wants me to go over and meet his family. they know about me and his best friend has invited me to his wedding. the thing is, talk of marriage etc so soon is kind of scary. he says he does not want to come to england to live and wants me there. i can not leave my daughter and said if it happens he is to come here. he has agreed but only until she is married. he is so lovely. good looking. funny. a bit uptight sometimes but all this talk so soon makes it seem a bit unreal. he loves egypt, so i can't see him wanting a visa as he says england is too expensive.last night he was crying, telling me he felt stupid because he's told me his feelings and they aren't given back and that he does not know if he has does the right thing choosing me because all he can do is wait for me to choose. what do i do. is he genuine. i'd like to think he is. someone please.......... help because everything i read is all horror stories and i really don't want it to be as he is the first man i've been really(the whole being of him) attracted in 6 years.

Well, as an ex-smoker (years ago) I can understand the attraction too. But all these flavored tabaccos just have to be more unhealthy than the non-flavored kinds (if that is possible). It reminds me of the menthol cigarettes of yester-year (gag). But getting a good wiff of that water must cure you of smoking anything at anytime for any reason.

if you say egypt is a nice place to live in.. you have no idea what you are talking about.. i lived in egypt for 23 years.. and i lived in canada too.. there is not comparison whatsoever bet both..

you are just stating the advantages of living in egypt, like riding a horse and stuff.. there are more important things in life than riding horses and just being with friends.. ex, to have an organized traffic.. ppl who like to live in egypt well have fun, but for me.. its far from being nice..

well THAT was a depressing article by the BBC! As you know I've never been able to smoke anything... except that one time in Turkey from the shisha pipe with apple tobacco!!! oh man that was so good, so I guess I'm glad I didn't bring a pipe home from turkey.
