Grassroots Movement for Gas Guzzlers

A young friend of my daughter's recently sent me a link to a webpage started by one of her friends to encourage carpooling in Egypt. Cairo reputedly has 20 million inhabitants and I'm willing to bet about 10 million cars. These days any errand at all can take hours. I think that this is a great idea and I really wish them all the best.

What a great idea! The roads here are incredibly congested and filled with people going to the same place. Good luck carpoolers! :)

This is a great idea! I always offered rides, or offered to pick up and deliver things if 'I was going that way'. The traffic is insane, and it really shouldn't be. Good luck!! I hope this catches on.

Hi!

I hope you’ll excuse a comment on a more general matter than this specific post?

I think your blog’s really interesting and well written and I’ve got a suggestion that I’d like to present. Would be very grateful if you could contact me on the mail address below.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Oskar

I have been reading your blog for 4 hours now...dinner is cold, my dogs and cats are craving attention and my horses need fed!
But dang, I cannot pull myself away.
You have a gift for making me feel as if I am there. I thought I had an interesting life so far...LOL!

I raise Arabians in the mountains of east Tennessee, in the U.S.
For many years I worked with Arabians professionally. At 42 and now married (no children-just plenty of animals) I just do the "horse thing" to please me!

Thank you so very much for sharing your incredible life. I am only up to the year 2005, but am going to continue reading until I am current with you.

Have a wonderful day,
Misha

Every time I go to Egypt I think that those guys are crazy!

I think the family on motorcycle people are even more funny though.
